Electrocomm-Michigan, Inc and its family of businesses (EMI) is a family business that has been a leader in Michigan and beyond for more than 30 years. We take pride in identifying the best solutions and products for our customer’s specific needs and goals while delivering them the ongoing support and customer service they deserve.

Electrocomm is fully versed in the newest advances in wireless radio technology, from conventional mobile and portable digital two-way radios to multi-site wide area systems to an ever-expanding line of associated products and services in the communications sector. We leverage significant buying power and large on-site inventory, always striving to save our customers time and money.

Electrocomm’s business has always been 100% customer-centric. We pride ourselves in partnering with many industry-leading manufacturers which allows us to achieve our customer-centric mission of solving customer problems by truly recommending products and services that are in the best interest of the customer – not only the manufacturer – based on both metrics of price and performance.

Our History:

It all started in the US Army. Richard Pizzi, Electrocomm’s owner, and President began his career by learning to operate and manage microwave communications from point to point while stationed overseas. After leaving the Army he realized he wanted to continue to work in the industry, but he segued into two-way radio communications. He also realized he wanted to be his own boss, so in 1990 he took a risk and started Electrocomm-Michigan. For a year he worked out of his home garage. As the business got bigger, Electrocomm acquired employees and quickly grew out of that garage. The business kept growing, first moving to our facility in Pontiac, Michigan; and finally moving to our current headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan and that is where the business resides today.

The proud Army Veteran sees two-way communication as a backbone, an everlasting way to communicate for all businesses and organizations with employees spread over a wider geography. Electrocomm’s customers range in type from government entities to schools, hotels, hospitals, construction companies, and many more industry segments.

Today Electrocomm has evolved to employ a highly educated and proficient sales and technical workforce. Highly respected in the state of Michigan and beyond, Electrocomm’s mission is to provide exceptional customer service, and continually improve product offerings and services, thereby allowing Electrocomm to build and maintain lifetime relationships.

Electrocomm’s one-sentence motto is and always has been: “We solve customer problems!”
